11.6" 2-in-1 Convertible Notebook

Bought one of these last year at my local Walmart because my regular laptop was to bulky to carry back and forth to school everyday with large nursing texts in tow. Screen went out about a month after owning it. Still powers up but total black screen mind you it’s never Jenn dropped or had anything spilled on it just plugged it in and the screen blacked out. Gateway refused to help in anyway.

Was a great little computer when it first came out. I bought two as I was using them for 3D printing and vinyl decals and it was cheap and easy to use them as dedicated computers. Then came windows 11. For whatever reason the touch screen doesn't function properly. Even though hundreds of people have reported the same issue Gateway has no clue how to fix it and they are asking for you to pay for a repair! For an issue that is on them that hundreds of people have. I can promise I will never buy another Gateway product and I highly suggest the same for you. The touchscreen is one of the main functions of this since it's supposed to be able to be used as a tablet. It's just a paperweight now!

While the specs are a little underwhelming this little laptop is perfectly adequate for typical tasks such as light web browsing email office etc. The low cost makes it great for a travel machine or something you can keep stowed away in a car or bike on the go without too much worry about damaging or losing it. The form factor makes it feel like a miniature ultrabook with its sleek 2-in-1 folding design and it feels solid enough despite the plastic chassis. While the screen isn't of the highest resolution it is a nice IPS panel that looks great from all viewing angles and the glass touchscreen is very responsive making it just as usable as a tablet as it is a laptop. The keyboard has small membrane actuated keys and I actually like the feel of them with the travel and weight feeling very good. Battery life is claimed at 8.5hr and I am able to get close to that with around 6-8hr depending on usage and brightness.My only real complaint with this laptop is the storage and RAM. With only 4gb of ram you will have to keep background processes and browser tabs to an absolute minimum. I was able to run the Windows 11 update but staying with 10 may be the better option for most users who want a bit more performance. Likewise the 64gb of storage is only barely enough for Windows and a handful of programs. If you pay for OneDrive you can get away with keeping your documents in the cloud otherwise you may opt to store larger files on Micro SD.Overall I would recommend this as a secondary computer. It's a great size to grab and go for watching streaming videos or answering emails with an excellent form factor and good battery life. On the other hand it may be a bit underpowered if you plan on using it as your primary machine unless you only stick to really basic tasks.

I've had this 2 in 1 for almost two years now. Even though I have more than enough storage space in the Clouds I pay for this little 128GB hard drive has been near its limit on storage Capacity. It finally got down to less than 5 GB storage available. I had a horrendous job trying to save my work on the drive. I was somewhat successful with the help of mini SD cards and USB memory drive. I tryed for two weeks here on this site trying to get help or even point me towards self help. I GOT ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IN RESPONSE. I had to Reset the computer as if from the factory. BTW I couldn't use all functions before resetting. Biggest was I couldn't use Internet for windows updates and other crucial things that depended on Internet connection. The computer was telling me I had a connection to Internet but when opening a browser blank page with error warning. Only option was a reset as far as I know but of course I couldn't get any advice or help from Gateway. I used my phone to try to contact emailedlive support was impossible got plenty of AI response but AI had no help or answers at all.

This is not a computer. This is a tablet disguised as a laptop. Mine experienced display problems 4 months into ownership. CS made me return it 4 times before they finally replaced it. It is slow touchpad is ridiculous it will enter sleep mode by itself and is difficult to recover. Spend your money on a better brand.
